Is this the Peter Kay you know and love?
The larger than life comedian has stepped into the spotlight to write, direct and star in a spoof reality TV show, Britain's Got The Pop Factor - a working and not particularly catchy title.
The Channel 4 comedy features Kay as a myriad of comic characters, including wannabe Geraldine (pictured).
Not one to shy away from donning a bit of lippy, Kay goes all out with false nails. According to his local rag The Bolton News he’s loving playing her, “apart from the fact that I had to have my legs and chest waxed, which was absolute agony!”
Although storylines are a closely guarded secret rumour has it that ex X Factor judge and Rock Rivals flop Pete Waterman may make another cameo appearance.
Waterman's last attempt in Rock Rivals ended on the cutting room floor...but it's obviously not holding him back.
The show is still being filmed but expect Peter and his wannabe motley crew to hit your screens in the autumn.
