John Barrowman John BarrowmanJust weeks after the Sachs-gate scandal, the BBC have found themselves making amends again.

Their apology comes after Torchwood and Doctor Who star John Barrowman 'exposed' himself live on air... err... on Radio1.

On Sunday night's Switch show, presenter Nick Grimshaw asked John: “You’re famous, we’re told, for getting your willy out in interviews. Is this going to happen today?”

The actor responded by asking "Is the webcam on?" When told it was, he declared: "All right, I'll get it out for you then, no problem."

The webcam in the studio had been swiftly covered up but listeners heard co-presenter Annie Mac screaming: "Oh my God!"

Annie apologised at the end of the show, and the BBC have since released a statement admitting that the show "overstepped the mark" but that the presenters "acknowledged this and apologised." The spokesperson went on to emphasize that nothing untoward had been shown online, and only one complaint had been received.

Still the Beeb are treading carefully,  John has also expressed regret, saying: "I apologise for any offence I have caused.

"I was joining in the light-hearted and fun banter of the show and went too far. I was wrong to do this and it will never happen again.

"I appreciate the great support I have received from the BBC over the last few years and would never intentionally do anything to undermine the integrity of the corporation."
