Davina McCallDavina McCall has thrown her weight behind fans calling for the return of the Big Brother live feed.

She told the BB hardcore to petition the show for return of 24 hour coverage.

Fans have been left fuming by the lack of round the clock surveillance, which has been on offer for every other non-celeb show. But cash-strapped channel bosses have culled the 24/7 live feed, reducing it to a few hours over night.

Davina was deluged with messages via her Twitter site requesting the return of the round the clock show. She responded: “With all this feeling, find a petition and sign it.

"C4 will listen to feedback I’m sure.”

But Channel 4 has so far stuck to its guns, repeatedly telling viewers it will not reinstate a live feed.

Viewers editor, Paula Carter, told Digital Spy: "Unfortunately, we found that less and less people were watching the live feed, so although it must be very frustrating for loyal fans like yourself, it has reached a point where we could no longer justify offering this service on a twenty-four hour basis.

"I am very sorry to be the bearer of this news but I hope that you will still be able to enjoy this latest series of Big Brother."
