Bones has already reached its fifth series, but that's a testament to its faultless consistency and quality which are on abundant show in this new episode.
We talk to Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz about 'that moment' last season and what's in store in series 5.
As any good telly fan knows things are never easy with on screen chemistry, and as season five begins, it's clear that all was not as it seemed.
Booth is recovering from the brain surgery that caused him to hallucinate a 'happy ever after' relationship between himself and Brennan. Yet shortly after awakening from the operation, he seemed to have no idea who she was. Six weeks after that awkward encounter, Brennan returns from an archaeological dig to face up to the realities of their relationship.
As far as the case of the week goes, it's your standard Bones case, but with the added bonus of guest star Cyndi Lauper as a psychic who is quickly targeted as a prime suspect after guiding the team to a mass burial site.
Humour, drama and just a smidgen of gore, all wrapped up in a CSI-style easy-watching sheen.
Great viewing.
