Britney Spears Saved My LifeBritney Spears Saved My LifeBritney Spears doesn't always seem like a person in control of her own life.

But a legion of UK fans believe that she's saved theirs.

On a rainy day in March, hundreds of Britney fans: boys, girls and we're pretty sure we spied a tranny, descended on BBC TV Centre to perform a record-breaking Britney dance-along.

None of them are trained dancers (boy, are none of them trained) but a music video choreographer puts together their routine and what follows is really rather extraordinary - a joyous, uplifting expression of just how much Britney means to them.

This is a surprising documentary in many ways. From the title, which seems to suggest tales of Britney rescuing fans from burning buildings (she may have done but it's not covered here) to the Brit devotion some fans who are old enough to know better show.

But mainly it's the feeling of joie de vivre it fills you with that surprises. We approached this documentary expecting something Toxic. We're glad we were wrong.
