We can hardly imagine Catherine Zeta-Jones flitting about with daleks...
Or rubbing shoulders with David Tennant for that matter.
But that's what Doctor Who creators would like her to do.
Russell T Davies, the award-winning writer behind Doctor Who, is desperate to get Catherine on-board for a film version of the BBC sci-fi hit.
Though it's not yet been confirmed whether the series will be actually be converted into a movie, Russell's keen to recruit the A-lister to any potential adaptation, telling The Sun:
"Being from Wales myself, I'd love to have Catherine Zeta-Jones as a companion for the doctor."
However, he's adamant that David would retain his role as the Time Lord in a film version of Doctor Who, saying: "To have anyone else would be inconceivable."
Although CZJ is now a darling of the Hollywood big screen, her acting roots can be found within British television - it was her portrayal of Mariette in ITV's The Darling Buds Of May that first drew attention to her in 1991.
