Coronation Street has been booted from its Wednesday slot to make way for the football.
It’s the first time the show won’t be aired midweek since its launch in 1960.
From July 23rd Corrie will be shown on a Thursday, meaning that day will be chock full of soapy goodness.
Emmerdale will show at 7pm, followed by EastEnders at 7.30pm, a second helping of Emmerdale at 8pm then a trip to Weatherfield at 8.30pm
Blimey – we’re not sure we can handle all that drama in one go.
The shake up has come as ITV won the new contract for the UEFA Champions League which starts in August and runs until 2012.
On footie-free Fridays the channel plans to show a film instead.
