His character will be killed off in a dramatic heart-attack storyline.

Boo.

The Fawlty Towers legend originally agreed to tread the cobbled streets of Weatherfield for a three month stint as Norris’ brother Ramsay Clegg. During his stay, he’s managed to capture the heart of Emily Nugent (Eileen Derbyshire) much to the disgust of Norris (Malcolm Hebden).

Ramsay will soon be boarding a plane to Oz, breaking Emily’s heart but for the hope he may return.

However, ITV bosses have decided to slam the door behind him by rewriting the story so Ramsay has a fatal heart attack when he boards the jet.

Poor Ramsay. And poor Emily too. We reserve our Norris sympathy until we see how he reacts to his Brother’s death.
