Liz McDonald returns to the soapA sun-kissed senorita will soon be flamenco-ing her way onto the Corrie cobbles.

It’s Liz – and we’re so pleased to see her back.

Glamorous landlady Liz McDonald (Bev Callard) swapped Rovers’ bitter for sangria in the sunshine earlier this year, and treated herself to an extended break with son Andy McDonald (Nicholas Cochrane).

But she’s set to burst back into Weatherfield next month, and get things hot and steamy with boyfriend Lloyd Mullaney (Craig Charles) who’s thrilled by her return.

But how Liz will react to the changes son Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) has made in the Rovers, primarily sacking Liz’s pal Poppy Morales (Sophiya Haque) is as yet unclear.

Liz looks set for some serious storylines later this year, as ex-husband Jim McDonald (Charles Lawson) - so bad Liz divorced him twice, is making a Corrie comeback.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on the wife-beater, you can sure of that, but for now we’re just pleased to see one our favourite barmaids back.
