The Grinch would love Coronation Street's latest Christmas twist.
Because it involves scrapping a rather traditional element.
The turkey.
That's right, the Daily Star is reporting that this year the usual Christmas trimmings in Weatherfield will be replaced by a Polish Christmas dinner.
And apparently Corrie fans are none too pleased about the fact that the show's bosses have decided viewers will see Corrie characters tucking into a 12-course European-style Christmas meal.
The paper reckons the feast will also be accompanied by the singing of Silent Night in Polish.
A senior Corrie source has told the paper: "This is another attempt to try to reflect real-life attitudes.
"But what the hierarchy don't realise is that this can offend viewers as well."
The paper says we'll get to see Emily Bishop (Eileen Derbyshire) prepare the turkey-free dinner as a treat for Polish character Vicki Dankowska (Wanda Opalinska), Rita and Norris.
