Show bosses have confirmed that all three series will be involved in a crossover storyline later this year.


The plot will launch on CSI: Miami, move to CSI: NY and finish in Las Vegas on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

The three episodes see Miami's Horatio Caine (David Caruso) ask for help from Dr. Ray Langston (Laurence Fishburne) when a severed leg is discovered in the Everglades belonging to a girl who went missing from Las Vegas a week earlier.

Langston then heads to New York when Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise) and his team eventually uncover a smuggling ring specializing in human cargo.

"Everyone stays true to their writing style," CSI: NY executive producer Pam Veasey told Entertainment Tonight Online. "What you fundamentally do is tell a CSI story, which is what we all have in common. You will see each of the shows take a different approach to the story.

"Obviously, Ray Langston travels through all of the shows. You have to find the consistencies with his character, how he would flow into each story," she added.

The crossover episodes will air in the US from Mon 9 Nov on CBS. A UK broadcast date hasn't yet been confirmed.
