Davina McCallDavina McCallDavina McCall has got herself in big trouble after sounding the death knell for Big Brother.

Channel 4 bosses have been left fuming by her big mouthed remarks.

Davina, who will host BB10, allegedly admitted: "It’s definitely only got two years left."

She’s hosted the flagship show since its launch nine years ago. But last year’s run attracted the lowest amount of viewers of any series with only 5.1 million tuning in to see Rachel Rice walk out the house victorious.

However, TV bosses have been quick to counteract Davina’s remarks about the show’s demise. One told The Star: "Since when did Davina appoint herself commissioning editor of Channel 4?

"Big Brother is not going away. It’s one of C4’s flagship shows."

The channel has two years left on their contract with show makers Endemol, after which a new deal will have to be negotiated.

Big Brother 10 begins screening on June 4.
