Davina McCall has said she still loves presenting Big Brother and reckons the show still feels fresh.
The series celebrates its 10th anniversary this summer, but it still has the ability to shock the 41 year old.
In an interview for the show, which starts next week, Davina said: "It always feels fresh to me. I spoke to the producer and he told me something that absolutely made me gasp.
I love the fact that Big Brother can still make me gasp."
Davina also talked about her fondness for past housemates and said Rex was one of her favourites: "This is contentious, but I did love Rex. I just did. It was that sort of bolshie chef thing and the arrogance that was kind of brilliant."
"Nadia was one of my favourite winners. She was so lovely... it meant so much to her."
But Davina defended her 'soft' questioning technique when conducting the evictions interview. In the past she's been criticised for going easy on some of the more controversial housemates. She said: "At the end of the day, I work for Big Brother, and we asked them to go into that house.
"I have to get them to answer my questions appropriately. I can't just roast them... I would like to think that I can ask difficult questions but sometimes I like to ask a really difficult question with a bit of a smile."
And it looks like Davina might be getting a chance to improve her interviewing technique as it's been reported that the TV host is making a new chat show.
It's her second attempt as a talk show host, her first was three years ago where she was famously mauled by the critics. This time the presenter is looking to interview ordinary people in an Oprah Winfrey style and not celebrities.
Davina told The Sun: "I'm not Oprah but it's that kind of thing. I prefer talking to ordinary people rather than famous people."
The new show will probably be a daytime fixture for Five or Sky1 and is set to air later this year.
