Jesse Metcalfe is set to return to his role of sexy gardener John Rowland and he's going to be doing more than trimming bushes.

Jesse has made on-off appearances since 2004, but may be taking on a more regular role when series six returns to American screens September.

His character had a steamy affair with Gabrielle Solis, but now he has his sights set on another housewife.

Creator Marc Cherry told TV Guide Magazine that he comes back a divorced man who has changed industries. He continued: When Ana (Maiara Malsh) finds out that Gabrielle had an affair with John, she sets her sights on him, which upsets Gabrielle."

More importantly, we'll see Jesse in the buff. Well, sort of. An inside source said: "He'll have a lot of shirtless scenes,"

There's also the possibility that he'll be hanging around for a quite a while, the source added: "He'll be on for six to eight episodes, with the possibility of coming back full time."
