EastEnders babe Kara Tointon might be leaving the soap, but she won't be away from screens for long.
Rumour has it the actress is keen to sign up for the next series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Kara, reportedly a big fan of the ballroom show, danced her way to victory during 2008's charity special, Sport Relief Does Strictly Come Dancing, alongside former champion Mark Ramprakash.
But the actress has been unable to take part in the dancing show proper. Show boss Diedrick Santer has placed a ban on cast members signing up because of the chaos it causes to filming schedules.
As Kara's character Dawn Swann is set to exit Albert Square in August, she's free to hit the dance floor.
A BBC insider told The Sun: "Kara has made it no secret that she has wanted to do Strictly for years. Hopefully we can make it happen.
"She's exactly the kind of contestant that we want on the show."
The news comes after reports that show bosses are hoping to sex up the next series of Strictly in order to attract a younger audience.
