So we’re all in a tizz over next week’s EastEnders: Archie’s back!

The silver fox will walk back into Walford and try to charm his way back into Peggy’s (Barbara Windsor) good books.

She’s not having any of it though, until Pat (Pam St Clements) points out that Peggy has never taken off her wedding ring.

What could it mean?

Archie (Larry Lamb) was forced to flee the Square when his web of lies to daughter Ronnie (Samantha Janus) was ripped apart by granddaughter Danielle (Lauren Crace) at his wedding reception.

Peggy instructed Phil (Steve McFadden) to get rid of Archie, permanently, but Phil contented himself with scaring the living daylights out of the foxy one and sending him packing with his tail between his legs.

But now he’s back. And it seems as though daughter Roxy (Rita Simons), who always was a daddy’s girl, invited him.

At Pat’s encouragement, Peggy decides she will see Archie, but only on her terms. We can’t help but wonder, will she fall for him again?

Or does she have something more sinister in mind?
