Larry LambOur new favourite villain, Archie Mitchell, will walk back into Walford this summer.

He’s so popular that Beeb bosses are already planning his return, just days after his departure.

Archie (Larry Lamb) was ditched by blushing bride Peggy (Barbara Windsor) after his web of lies was exposed on their wedding day. He’d lied to his daughter Ronnie (Samantha Janus) telling her that her daughter Danielle (Lauren Crace) had died as a child.

Danielle was knocked down moments after Ronnie found out who she was, in a storyline that shocked soap fans and blasted Archie’s life apart.

And there’ll be more explosive times this summer when Archie returns, bringing with him a shock secret that’ll rock the Mitchells to the core.

An EastEnders insider told The Sun: “Archie has been the single most manipulative Mitchell ever seen — and it won’t change when he returns.”

Looks like The Square is going to be busy this summer. Sam Mitchell is back too, plus Kat Slater and husband Alfie Moon have both said they’d like to return. It’s going to be a scorcher!
