Bad dad Owen Turner is coming back to see Libby.

Let’s hope that this time he doesn’t have murder in mind.

Last time Owen (Lee Ross) was in Walford he tried to gas, then drown Libby Fox (Belinda Owusu) before drowning himself, all three of which he botched.

He was banged up for three years but now he’s out he wants to get in touch with his daughter and his ex-wife Denise Wicks (Diane Parish) claiming that his wife-beating, alcoholic days are behind him.

Diederick Santer, EastEnders executive producer, said: "It's very exciting to have Lee back in the show. Lee's one of the finest actors of his generation, and the scenes he did with Belinda Owusu and Diane Parish three years ago were electrifying.

The BBC was forced to apologies to viewers over Owen’s violence last time he was on screen. The scenes in which he beat Denise so badly she lost a tooth and dragged her upstairs by her hair, prompted 128 complaints.

Libby is hoping to study at Oxford this autumn, but her life will be turned upside by the return of daddy dearest.
