Strictly Come Dancing contestant Natalie Cassidy will be waltzing back into Walford this New Year.
She’s returning to the role that made her famous – Sonia Jackson, and the rest of the Jackson clan are with her.
Dean Gaffney is back as brother Robbie, Lindsay Coulson returns as mum Carol. Half-brother Billy will also appear, but played by a different actor.
They’ll be reunited with Bianca Jackson, played by Patsy Palmer.
Natalie, who’s currently giving her all in Strictly, is said to be thrilled to be returning to her acting roots. She said: “To be reunited with the original Jacksons is a dream come true.”
The Jacksons, described by EastEnders bosses as a “classic problem family” were introduced to Albert Square in 1993. During their four years on the show as a family unit they were given major storylines including Sonia giving birth aged 15 and Bianca’s affair with her mum’s partner.
The re-uniting of the Jacksons, one of the soap’s most popular families, comes in the run up to the show’s 25th anniversary celebrations.
