Phil and his new womanEastEnders has seen some questionable love trysts over the years, but the latest romance to hit Walford has got to be one of the weirdest.

Phil Mitchell is set to bag himself a new bird.

And she's not the most predictable of love interests.

TV Towers hears rumours that Phil (Steve McFadden) is set to get it on with his mate Garry's missus, Dawn Swann (Kara Tointon). Eww.

With Shirley lying in a drunken heap somewhere, Phil's decided it's time to move on - and he doesn't care who he hurts in the process.

But Garry (Ricky Groves) isn't the only one who'll be hurt by the pair's liaison.

A show insider told The Mirror: "Minty is totally paranoid that Manda still fancies old flame Phil, and thinks they could be having a fling.

"He follows Phil to the Arches convinced he's going to find the pair of them together. When he gets there he sees something terrible - but it's not what he expected.

"Minty is left in the awful position of having to decide who he should tell. One thing's for certain, he won't want to see Garry get hurt."

Dawn SwannScenes to be broadcast next week will see Dawn strip down to some saucy, purple lingerie for a romp in the Queen Vic. But the pair are interrupted when Dawn's fiance Garry calls round for a brew.

Will Garry uncover his blushing bride's dirty secret?

Time will tell, but we're more concerned with why Dawn would find herself in a clinch with Phil Mitchell of all people.

The source explained: "She's always been a sucker for money and power and Phil has both." Hmm... we're not convinced.
