Sally wants Laurel out of the wayThere are smoking scenes ahead in Emmerdale.

Deranged Sally will try to burn down the vicarage knowing that Laurel is inside.

Sally Spode (Sian Reeves) is desperate to replace Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) as vicar Ashley’s wife. She and Ashley (John Middleton) dated when they were young but she married Vincent Spode (Antony Byrne), Ashley’s rival.

She’s tried to worm her way back into Ashley’s life by telling Ashley that her marriage is on the rocks, and is set to move into the vicarage after alleging that her husband mistreats her.

When trying to tempt Ashley away from his wife doesn’t work she decides to get rid of Laurel – permanently.

She sets light to the cottage with Laurel trapped inside. What a horror.

ITV sources are remaining tight-lipped about whether Laurel escapes. We can hardly bear the tension.
