Sleepy Emmerdale village is set to be rocked by a scandal in the coming months.
The arrival of an illegal immigrant will divide the community.
A young Ukrainian woman named Olena will sneak aboard one of the King's haulage trucks during a business trip to France.
On arriving in Emmerdale the stowaway, played by Swedish actress Carolin Stoltz, is found by young 'uns Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) and Will Wilde (Oscar Lloyd). But it's not long before the secret is out and the village is in uproar over the situation.
A show source told The Sun: "Olena's story about why she's run away will be revealed in the next few months.
"She's very grateful that the children are so kind to her but she's obviously scared and begs them not to tell anyone about her.
"That's what they try to do. Later some of the Dingles find out that she's an illegal immigrant - but other people who end up meeting her don't realise who she is.
"Her identity remains hidden until the new year."
Olena will be seen on screen from mid-November.
