Britain is a nation of devoted TV viewers.
If you need any proof, check out the results of a recent telly survey...
It's found that the EastEnders theme tune has well and truly struck a chord with the nation.
So much so that folk recognise that infamous "Doofsh, doofsh" intro to the soap more than they do the British national anthem.
Results released by the Performing Rights Society show that when played the 'Enders intro tune, 37.2% of people quizzed correctly identified it immediately - next to the 36.5% of survey participants who identified the national anthem God Save The Queen.
Though the difference is small, it does clearly how illustrate popular the prime time soap is among UK viewers.
But would Her Majesty be impressed by the findings? We're not convinced.
