There are selection boxes in the supermarkets and boxes of festive cards in the shops which can mean only one thing in soap land.
It’s time to start thinking about the EastEnders Christmas special.
And it looks like they’ve got a cracker lined up for us.
Villainous, but nevertheless hunky, Sean Slater (actor Rob Kazinsky) is set to make a dramatic exit after discovering that he may not be the father of Roxy’s baby.
Sean flees with the prematurely born tot and exits the soap by plunging into a frozen lake.
But what happens to the baby?
Is Sean alive or dead?
And how will Roxy cope?
EastEnders bosses are remaining tight lipped, saying: “Viewers are going to be hooked – and we’re not going to disappoint.”
As you may recall, Sean and Roxy wed after Sean pledged his love for the unborn baby. However, at the same time as she was dallying with Sean, Roxy also slept with Jack Branning, then boyfriend of her sister Ronnie, who’s now with Tanya Branning, the wife of his brother.
Keep up.
Whatever the result of Sean’s tumble into the frozen lake, it’s still been ice to meet the East end bad boy.
And with notorious villain Nick Cotton (John Altman) and bad girl Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) also set to return, it looks like the residents of Albert Square are in for one hell of a Christmas.
