Nothing says Christmas like a big EastEnders bust-up.
And at the centre of this year's festive show-down are two of our favourite characters – Pat and Janine.
We reported last week that gold-digging schemer Janine is set to waltz back into Walford before the year is out. Now we can reveal how.
Janine is set to marry an aging Jewish gentleman (no, really) and has told him her family died in a car crash.
Pat gets wind of it and decides to open the groom-to-be’s eyes in the most dramatic way possible – at the wedding.
She takes Janine’s brother Ricky and cousin Billy along with her to the synagogue, but whether to back her up or as a deterrent to the groom about who his in-laws will be is, at yet, unclear.
Janine tries to brazen it out, claiming that the trio have escaped from a secure mental unit.
But Pat retaliates by declaring in front of the congregation: “She’s about as Jewish as a bacon sandwich. The game’s up Janine.”
What a Christmas cracker.
