Garron Mitchell is on a mission to be famous and he'll do whatever it takes to become a household name.

But can he make it in the cut throat world that is celebrity?

The 29 year old reporter is pretty confident of his chances: "I'm convinced that I can become famous. It doesn't take skill or talent, you just have to want to be famous."

So far, so positive. When he turns up at the X Factor auditions and realises that 100,000 other people have the same ambition, he discovers he's not alone.

Desperate to get some exposure, he gets a foot in the door at interactive channel Fame TV (nope we've not heard of it either) and tries to impress the viewers and the managing director, who repeatedly forgets his name. Oh dear.  Blonde 'presenter' Kate warns him of the audience: "They'll rip into you. They're horrible. They've been calling me a dog all day."

Garron steps up his game and decides he needs a publicist and some kiss 'n' tell action.  He drafts in Alicia Duvall who's conquests include Jack Nicholson, P.Diddy and erm, Dean Gaffney and will do anything to get into the papers.

He sets up a shot of them kissing and promptly takes it to Mr Paparazzi i.e Darren Lyons who runs a famous picture agency.  Darren tells him that Duvall is small fry if he wants to become famous: "You need something that the public are gonna love." He's told he needs to be snapped with either Angelina Jolie, Victoria Beckham or Kate Moss. Right, OK then.

Garron flies Stateside to see if he can learn anything from the Hollywood pros.  Mona Loring, L.A's answer to Max Clifford gives him some tips, but when he goes on a hunt with picture agency X-17 to get snaps of Britney, he quickly realises the downside to fame.

Question is, is this what he really wants?
