Frogs - we owe a whole lot to the cute little critters.
They were the first of our ancestors to leave the water and explore the wide world beyond, surviving the dinosaurs, ice ages and asteroids.
And that's not all. Scientists are finding that chemical compounds found in frogs’ skins can be used to treat pain and block infections, and are even being explored as HIV treatments.
Plus, they're right in the middle of the food chain. Without them, other species could be in danger of disappearing.
But just as we're beginning to understand their importance, frogs are living on borrowed time. Their Eco systems are being lost ,meaning frogs could soon be crossing the thin green line.
This beautifully shot documentary examines the importance of frogs. Catch it in HD, and the majesty of frogs before they, ahem, hoppit.
Find out when Frogs: The Thin Green Line is next on TV.
