Not exactly the paternal type, he initially proves to be a bit of a disaster as a father figure. <\/p><p>But strangely this frightening new environment ultimately makes him a better man than he would ever have been if he had continued his old life.<\/p><p>Phillip says: \"He has to reassess his life and start from scratch. He is also a devout Muslim. <\/p><p>On the night of the crisis he and his family go to the local mosque but in the morning Najid is forced to grow up very fast when his life is transformed in ways he could never have anticipated. <\/p><p>Chahak says: \"If Najid hadn't met Al, he'd just be a kid alone in a world. The harsh reality is he would probably have ended up dying.
