Halloween is just around the corner and EastEnders have got a horror special lined up for us.
It involves Max, but for once he's not playing the villain.
He's the victim of an Albert Square hit and run and is left fighting for his life.
But – whodunnit?
Max has made so many enemies over the past few months the list of suspects is extensive. Jack, Tanya, Bradley and Stacey have all got their reasons for wanting Max well out of Walford.
Max is set to be hit by Darren Miller's car, but it seems the learner driver isn't the one behind the wheel.
In an ironic twist, Max is on his way to apologise to estranged wife Tanya for the trauma he's caused his family when he's mown down in the dramatic scenes.
An apology is clearly too little too late for whoever decides they've had enough of Max's bullying ways and he's left fighting for his life.
The hit-and-run scenes will be shown in an hour long Halloween special to be broadcast on 31 October.
