But this time they're going to shove a starlet straight off it, as one will be killed in a dramatic parachuting incident.

Since its inception 10 years ago, Hollyoaks Later has delighted in throwing an 'extreme' spin on the soap's traditional daily shenanigans, with clifftop suicides, gay rape, surprise shootings, kidnap, date rape and rampant bonking all playing a part.

Yet producers seem to have struck morbid curiosity gold with their plans for the next installment.

One of the four storylines within the mini-series will see Sarah Barnes (Loui Batley), Zoe Carpenter (Zoe Lister) and Lydia Hart (Lydia Kelly) trundle off to an extreme boot camp that just so happens to include a skydiving segment.

But, as is the Hollyoaks way, someone in the group has sabotaged one of the trio's parachutes so that when they pull the ripcord their parachute fails and they're left to plummet to a rather messy demise.

Forget student loans, Chester's locals must be bankrupted by the life insurance rates alone.

Producers have already confirmed that Loui Batley and Zoe Lister are leaving the show, so if you're a betting person, we'd say that Lydia looks safe.
