Brian PaddickBrian Paddick

Brian Paddick is the latest person to leave the jungle in I'm A Celebrity.

The ex-copper failed to make much of an impact on the public despite his peace making ways in the camp.

He told Ant and Dec that he came on the show because he just wanted have some fun.

He said: "For a long time I've been doing serious stuff. Thirty years in the police and running for mayor. It's all bad news that they want me to comment on. So I thought why not come and do something trivial."

Boredom was one of his biggest challenges: "It gets pretty tedious, if you don't get a trial or you don't get a celebrity chest to do you're just sitting around doing the same thing. Even the conversations were repeating themselves after a while because you just run out of things to say."

Like Esther, his money is on Simon to win. He told Simon he was a big fan of his, but said without hesitation :"He is such a talented guy, such a good guy and such a role model. He's the guy I want to win."

It seems the camp rows have finally been put to bed. Is the tide beginning to turn? Don't be daft, as if!

It all looked so rosy with Nicola deciding to give David a bit of a chance. "David's offered me an olive branch and I took it because I didn't want to be the cause of tension. I'm not going to change my mind and love the man, but I'll try and make it as happy as I can." she confessed.

Dave wasted no time in grabbing it: "the hand of friendship has been given to me and I've taken it because life is too short. It's not over but it's looking good."

The pair even managed to complete the celebrity chest challenge Carwash together, with David exclaiming: "I love you" before quickly adding: "No I don't, what am I doing, I hate you."  He finished with giving Nic a cheeky smack on the bottom before the pair returned to the camp.

But the jokes were short-lived when Nicola revealed to Joe that Dave had a game plan. She told him: "David's an absolute lunatic. He said to me: "We have to change it all now. why don't we do a bit of flirting, we're here for the same purpose, the arguments have been good."

She continued: " He's been doing it for the camera's, he said: "it will get on Joe's nerves if you sit next to me and do a bit of flirting."

Joe wasn't sure what he was hearing but the penny dropped when they returned to the camp and saw David in action.

We predict a riot.

Simon WebbeSimon WebbeOut of his Depth
Simon lucked out when volunteered for the Bushtucker Trial Last Gasp. The hotty had already spoken of his biggest fear right from the start of the show - water. And this challenge did him no favours whatsoever as he had to plunge under water to collect the stars.

The poor poppet has had a rough few days - first he was injured in the celebrity chest challenge, then he spent a night puking and now he had to be given oxygen after this latest task.

He did a sterling job though and collected most of the stars but by the way he looked afterwards, we reckon he's a long way from conquering his fear.

Martina Navratilova & Nicola McLeanMartina and Nicola Tear On Their Pillows
The camp came over all emotional when they received letters from their loved ones.

There was hardly a dry eye in the house with George, Brian, Joe, Nicola and even Martina all breaking down in tears.

So they are human after all.  Ah bless.

Little did Brian realise that his last night was going to be spent with a bunch of rats. He might not have been such a martyr if had known what was in store for him.

The ex-copper got a taste of a lag's life when he put himself up for staying a night in a cage full of critters, so that his fellow campers can receive the ingredients for a cooked breakfast.

He was told he'd be left in the dark, with a load of creepy crawlies and surrounded by strange sounds  - nothing he's not already been used to then.

But what was his motivation for this self-inflicted night of bug torture?  He said: "I am the sort of guy who loves the idea of doing something for the people so this is right up my street. I'm going to do it."

We think the group are going to miss Brian's goody two shoe ways.
