Lacey Turner who plays Stacey SlaterLacey Turner won Best Actress for the fourth yearIt was another night of celebrations for the cast of EastEnders.

They won the top gong at the Inside Soap Awards and Lacey Turner was all smiles with her consecutive win.

Beating off stiff competition from rivals Coronation Street, the show won seven awards out of the 14 categories.

Not only did they win Best Soap and Best Storyline, but Lacey Turner won Best Actress for the fourth year running for her portrayal of Stacey Slater.

She told a packed audience: "It really means a lot to me. Thank you very much from everyone from EastEnders for this opportunity and for all the help and support."

Larry Lamb was awarded Best Bad Boy for his role as the scheming Archie Mitchell.

Collecting his gong from his son George Lamb he said: "I've never won a television award before. It's truly exciting and I do appreciate it."

Best Bitch went to Charlie Brooks (Janine Butcher) and Sexiest Male went to John Partridge who openly-gay character plays Christian Clarke.

Only last month the long-running drama won Best Soap at the TV Quick and TV Quick Awards.

But Corrie didn't go home empty-handed, Gray O'Brien picked up the Best Actor award for his portrayal of evil Tony Gordon.

He joked: "I'm touched and honoured. I didn't know any of you watched it."

And Craig Cazey (Graeme Proctor) was crowned Best Newcomer, along with Alex Cain (Simon Barlow) who won Best Young Actor.
