John's Strictly Swan-song

John Sergeant may have stepped out of the Strictly spotlight, but he certainly won't be forgotten.

He and pro partner Kristina will return to the show on Saturday for a farewell Waltz, but in the meantime, take a peek at our fave underdog in training.

John explained his decision to quit on Strictly spin off show, It Takes Two.

"It's not a matter of having the guts to go on," he told Claudia Winkleman.

"I don't want to stop people who are very, very serious about dancing from having their moment in the sun.

"Unlike the other people on the show, it's not my burning desire to win Strictly Come Dancing."

Kristina added: "I support his decision. I wish I could change it, but it's his personal decision."

Meanwhile, Len Goodman has said that he disagrees with John's decision. The head judge told the BBC: "If it had been me, I'd have stayed in."
