And coaching from a celebrity pal like Joss Stone has got to help.
It’s been revealed that Brit Award winner Joss is secretly coaching Alexandra Burke, who made it through to the final 24 last weekend.
Alex’s mum Melissa, lead singer in 90s pop sensation Soul II Soul, reckons that Joss’ help could give her daughter the winning edge.
She told the Sun newspaper: “Alex was 12 when she met Joss on the TV show Star For A Night. Alex still visits her at her home in Devon and Joss has jetted her out to New York and Barbados for holidays.”
Alex first appeared on X Factor in 2005 but failed to make it to the live shows. Let’s see if Joss helps her keep her Mind, Body and Soul on the prize this time around.
