Alesha Dixon's title as Queen of the dancefloor could have some very serious competition.
Strictly Come Dancing bosses are allegedly hoping to sign up Prince william's girlfriend Kate Middleton for the show.
A show insider told the Daily Star that show execs are looking to add a secret, tip-tapping, jazz-handing weapon to its arsenal in a bid to rival ITV's The X-Factor.
"Kate is top of our list of dream signings this year. She's the type of person we'd love to have," the source said.
"She oozes sex appeal but is also a firm favourite with women who admire the way she has conducted her relationship with William."
While we can't imagine Ms Middleton wanting to parade her undercrackers to the nation during a double barrell, half-roll, mid-tuck jive split lift (phew!), pairing actual royalty with Strictly's already regal presenter line-up could be enough to snatch viewers away from Cowell and Co.
Other names already linked to the series include Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles and ex-X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne.
