Harold Perrineau who plays Lost's MichaelTrying to weedle spoilers out of the Lost camp in the run-up to its final season is as difficult as trying to work out what the show is actually all about.

Yet an ex-cast member has inadvertently revealed that one character will definitely not be appearing.

Harold Perrineau, who played Michael Dawson on the cult series, told E! Online that while the majority of the cast (both ex and existing) have been asked back, he hasn't received an invite.

"Honestly, no-one has asked. But if I was asked to come back to Lost, indeed I would say yes," he said. "It would be a great thing to do, to get to say goodbye to [the cast] at the same time."

Season 5 ended with a hydrogen bomb exploding on the island, prompting many fans to speculate that Season 6 will act as a warped reboot of the Lost timeline, allowing many past favourites to return.

Whatever happens, and whoever - if anyone - comes back from the dead, at least we know one character who's definitely gone for good.
