Mel BMel BMel B is one of the celebrities lined up to feature on an ITV show which will see her living in poverty.

She'll be joined by Keith Allen, Trinny Woodall and Austin Healey who will spend a week with a low-income family.

The purpose is to highlight the challenges the families face whilst coping with the credit crunch, and to give a true picture of their lives to the pampered celebs.

Based in Lincoln Green, an area identified as one of the top three deprived areas in the UK, each celeb will live on four different housing estates, and we'll see them cope on the budget of the different households they join.

The three-part series also aims to show a wide range of issues, from long-term unemployment, to the isolation felt by the elderly and the lack of role models for young people.

It will be a world away from the luxury the stars are used to, but as ever Mel B is up for the challenge. She tweeted: "It maybe raining in Leeds but I still love it!!

"Started filming my TV show and it's very very interesting to say the least!"

Executive producer Phil Edgar-Jones said: "It's only by experiencing the budget and lifestyle of someone on a low income that you can truly understand the challenges that many people face every single day."
