But she won't be walking back on to Albert Square .

According to reports, Michelle has auditioned for a role in top US drama, Desperate Housewives.

We think she'd be perfect for Wisteria Lane, but details about the role are being kept quiet while Michelle waits to hear if her bid to join the show was successful.

"I don't know what's happening," Michelle told the Daily Mirror. "I said, 'Why have you never had a British woman in it?' So, y'know, fingers crossed."

The last time we saw Michelle was on the jaw-droppingly bad Rock Rivals.
