The First Lady is making history with the Queen Bee of the cookery world, Nigella Lawson.
Michelle Obama is set to become the first presidential wife to appear on a reality TV series.
Thankfully, she's eschewing a future career path a la the Cheeky Girls, and her motivations for taking part in Iron Chef America are far more worthy.
The show itself pits well-known chefs against each other, with Ms Lawson presiding as judge and jury over the courses dished up.
The episode in question however, has been filmed at the White House, and will give Michelle an open forum to discuss her campaign of healthy living. In fact all of the meals prepared in the show were chosen from the recently planted White House vegetable garden.
While we're loving the idea of politicians using new avenues to connect with the public, we can't help but fear where this could lead.
David Cameron on Love Island? Barack Obama's British Best Friend? Gordon and Sarah as the next Katie and Peter?
The mind boggles.
