Graham Norton's BBC1 show Totally Saturday has been axed due to falling ratings.
Bosses pulled the plug when even a repeat animal programme on ITV beat the light entertainment show.
Stephen Mulhern's second showing of Animals Do The Funniest Things whipped Graham's show by over a million viewers.
Totally Saturday never really got off the ground and despite having celeb guests including Lionel Ritchie, Sir Roger Moore and girl band The Saturdays, it wasn't enough to attract viewers.
A source told the Sun: " Totally Satuday has been totally disasterous. The BBC hoped it would be their answer to Ant'n'Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway."
"But viewers just don't seem to like it and even Graham is unhappy with it. He deserves much better than this turkey."
Only last week we reported that Jonathan Ross said the show was 'not good enough' and Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles blasted the programme calling it 'appalling television'.
According to reports, producers are now wracking their brains to come up with a hit show for the TV host.
Graham is on a whopping £6million deal with the Beeb which is set to be renewed this year, but with salary cut backs high on the agenda at the corporation, question is - will he be worth the licence fee payers' cash?
