Fans could be in for a shock when the new series of Primeval hits screens.
Rumour has it that one much loved character is set to get the chop.
Unfortunately, we can't reveal who will meet their maker, but the unlucky monster hunter is set to meet a grisly end.
Brainy Prof Nick Cutter (Dougie Henshall), hot zoologist Abby Maitland (Hannah Spearritt) and concpiracy theorist Connor Temple (Andrew Lee Potts) are all in the frame.
Producer Tim Bradley told the Daily Star: "We knew at the end of the last series this person would be going.
"But this allowed us to write a fantastic exit and also think about how their departure would affect the team and how we move on."
But there is good news despite the imminent death. Three new faces are set to join the ITV show when it returns on Sat 28 Mar.
Egyptologist Sarah Page will be played by former Footballer's Wives actress Laila Rouass, while Lock Stock actor Jason Flemyng joins the cast as policeman Danny Quinn.
Ben Mansfield completes the new trio as Captain Becker, described by executive producer Tim Haines as "a new military guy who comes onto the team to watch their backs so that none of them get eaten".
