It's hard to believe that the original Charlie's Angel, Farrah Fawcett died just two weeks ago.
But the actress, 62, who lost her battled to cancer was overshadowed by the death of Michael Jackson.
The two icons died on the same day, but there was room for only one star to be covered by the press.
Known for the flicky hair style and mega watt smile, she ruled the 70s. Her celebrity status was cemented when Life magazine featured a poster of her wearing a red swimsuit which went on to become the best-selling pin-up poster of all time, selling an incredible 12 million copies.
Jackson's death may have shocked the world, but millions of viewers had followed Farrah's battle with cancer leading up to her death in a fly-on-the-wall series titled Farrah's Story.
Much like Jade Goody who also passed away earlier this year, Farrah was completely honest about her illness, and had the camera's following the progression of her aggressive form of cancer.
This film follows her final months and we see her travel to Germany in desperation to try some unconventional treatment in the vain hope that it might reverse the illness.
Her long-standing on/off partner, the actor Ryan O' Neal, is featured in the film and despite their rocky relationship, he was by her side when she died. The pair were to marry, but unfortunately time ran out.
Of her death, Ryan said: "I will never love anyone like I love Farrah."
Her publicist Allen Miller added: "She is free to be the woman we all knew and loved; so few have touched so many."
