Shawn PyfromActor Shawn Pyfrom, who plays Andrew Van De Kamp in Desperate Housewives, is leaving suburbia behind.

The 22 year old will only feature briefly in the forthcoming sixth season.

A show insider revealed: "Shawn's not returning for a full season. But he'll come back and make a few guest star appearances."

Shawn, who has played Bree's son from the beginning of the show, is looking to explore new pastures.

A source said: "His decision didn't come easy, but he wants to pursue new television and film opportunities."

But with Andrew leaving, daughter Danielle gone and Bree's marriage to Orson on the rocks, could Bree be left all alone?

There's talk that Kyle MacLachlan, who plays her on-screen husband Orson could also be set to pack his bags.

Back in June, he told The Sun that the travelling between New York to Los Angeles was taking its toll.

Kyle, who became a new dad aged 50, said: "It's getting more difficult going back and forth. I'll do the next series and see how it goes."

But all is not lost for the 'Wives. We reported earlier this week that Jesse Metcalfe is returning to ruffle some feathers as sexy gardener John.
