Gemma AtkinsonAccording to reports, two old Hollyoaks characters are set to return to the soap this autumn.

But show bosses remain tight lipped on exactly who'll be back in the village.

The soap's official tweeter posted the news on Twitter yesterday: "Just spilled tea on myself from the shock of hearing from the Hollyoaks script editors that an old character is to return. Who could it be?"

While a show insider told the Daily Star: "The return of two old characters is massive for us.

"Everyone is extremely excited about what their return means and the impact it is going to have. It's going to be a blockbuster few months for the show."

Names in the mix include Gemma Atkinson's character Lisa Hunter, Davinia Taylor as Jude Cunningham and even original cast member Will Mellor as Jambo.

Kevin SacreBut from what we've heard on the grapevine we reckon Kevin Sacre's troubled character Jake Dean is a dead cert for a comeback.

Newt's (Nico Mirallegro) alter-ego Eli (Marc Silcock) is also due for a return when trouble with Gaz causes Newt's schizophrenia to take a whole new twist.
