Life for lots of young married couples is a crazy rollercoaster of ups, downs and compromise. Factor in one half of the couple being an internationally famous pop star and the other just a girl from Jersey and the ride is even crazier.
We caught up with Kevin Jonas to talk about the highs and lows of life, love and the in-laws, as documented in new show, Married to Jonas.
The two of you got married after just two years together, what was the biggest shock about being married?
The biggest shock about married life was getting to know somebody. We hadn’t lived together beforehand, so you’re learning all about each other on a daily basis, it’s very crazy. It’s been very happy but I can only imagine what life would be like with the wrong person.
What’s the best thing about being married?
I think the best thing is being able to be with your best friend everyday. When you come home from work everything feels fresh and new.
And the worst?
Oh man, I don’t know… I guess you’re never alone anymore. Having to take time to think about the other person gets getting used to and, it’s a blessing but sometimes it’s hard.
Talking of blessings… how are you getting on with the in-laws?
We’re doing well, every day you grow into more of a relationship with them. It’s all about building relationships and luckily I’m blessed with incredible in-laws.
How does Dani feel about being married to the man People magazine say is the sexiest on the planet?
She thinks it’s totally true and totally awesome! (laughs) I have to say, she never looked at me like that, she always looked at me as Kevin, rather than Kevin Jonas from the Jonas Brothers, which I really appreciated and made me feel very special
Did she know you were in the Jonas Brothers when you met?
No, when we first met the Jonas Brothers were nowhere near the celebrity we were a little later. She was there from the beginning.
So you’re like John and Yoko.
Kind of.
Will you make music together, like John and Yoko?
I would love to but I don’t think Danni’s going to ever sing in front of me.
Keeping on a singing tip, the show is about your marriage but it’s also about the new Jonas Brothers album, what can we expect from that?
It’s very exciting! The album and music are so different to anything we’ve done before because this album we were able to do on our own. Nick produced the album and put his heart and soul into; we’ve done it all ourselves.
There are lots of fans who are desperate to know, when are you coming to the UK?
We’ll be over very soon, don’t you worry. Hopefully early next year or before the year’s end.

For some young girls, marrying a pop star is their fondest dream. But would the reality live up to it?
Danielle Deleasa is finding out. The 'girl-next-door' became Mrs Jonas after marrying eldest brother Kevin in 2009. Now, the pair have opened the door to their home and their marriage, letting the world see what it's like being joined to a world-famous pop star and his family. And how both sides of the family cope with a new set of in-laws.
