Continuing the Songbook series, James Blunt is next up on the list.
Journalist Will Hodkinson finds out how modern songwriters have made their mark on the music world.
James burst onto the scene in 2004 with his Back To Bedlam album, which sold 11 million albums worldwide.
Not bad for a man who's career was originally destined for the army.
The album spawned the huge hit 'You're Beautiful' (who can't forget the video with him jumping off a cliff into the sea?) which brought him to a global audience.
In this clip, he sings Goodbye My Lover and reminds us of what made him famous in the first place.
