Sophie Dahl is swapping the catwalk for the kitchen in a new cooking show.
The model has been signed up to present a series mixing recipes and anecdotes for BBC2.
Sophie, granddaughter of author Roald Dahl, has recently released a cookery book entitled Miss Dahl’s Voluptuous Delights, perhaps a wry commentary on her beginnings as a size 14 model.
Sophie said: "For me, food is more than just fuel; it's a joy and an adventure."
"Cooking often serves as an emotional barometer, and with this show we will run the gamut – from a solo dinner that suits melancholy to a homecoming feast for 20, it's cooking with an anecdotal thread, irreverent, unpredictable and not without flaw.”
The as yet unnamed show will be produced by Jamie Oliver’s company Fresh One Productions and will be screened next year.
Roald Dahl also released a cookery book: Roald Dahl’s Revolting Recipes, which contained treats like Scrambled Dregs and Hair Toffee to Make Hair Grow on Bald Men.
It is as yet unknown whether Sophie will be whipping up Tall Toffee to Make Short Finance's Grow.
