Who would have thought it?
Not content with saving the world on Doctor Who, Catherine Tate is making a bid for Hollywood stardom.
According to reports, the comedienne is set to screen test for a movie featuring Schindler's List star Liam Neeson.
Following the success of fellow comics David Walliams and Matt Lucas with Little Britain USA, Catherine will also be in talks about a US version of her BBC sketch show.
A source told The Sun: "It is very early days, but everyone loves Catherine. Her show has been on BBC America and a lot of important people are fans."
Back in Blighty, Catherine has reportedly signed up to make a comeback as the Doctor's sidekick Donna Noble in one of four Doctor Who specials scheduled for 2009.
The last episode of this year's series saw the Doctor wipe Donna's memory to save her life. But, as a show source pointed out: "Anything can happen in Doctor Who. When you're a Time Lord you can go back to any point in history and meet wherever you want."
