Back in early June, The Good Entrepreneur launched a competition open to anyone based in Europe who had an idea, business plan, product or service that could help craft a greener future.
The thousands of entrants were narrowed down to three finalists, who will be the focus of this four-part series as they go about convincing a panel of high profile business judges that they deserve to win.
At stake is a prize package worth more than €250,000, made of enough significant business clout and exposure to really make their environmentally friendly dream achievable reality.
There's Craig White who wants to build a house out of straw (not as silly as it may sound), Mathew Holloway who has developed technology for an energy efficient air condition system that uses 90% less power than conventional systems, and finally Marco Cremona who has designed a water recycling system to help the biggest water users - luxury hotels - recycle up to 80% of their waste water.
