Jeremy ClarksonJeremy Clarkson silenced? It's unlike motormouth Jeremy Clarkson to willingly keep his trap shut.

But rumour has it the politically incorrect presenter is planning to stop offending people - by not saying anything at all.

Jezza reckons that the only way to stop complaints about his near-the-knuckle jokes would be to broadcast an episode in which he and fellow presenters Richard Hammond and James May remained entirely silent.

Jeremy said: "It's the only way they will have nothing to complain about.

"I don't think I've done anything naughty this year, though, have I?"

Last month the outspoken presenter attacked BBC bosses for being too politically correct, saying: "The problem is that television executives have got it into their heads that if one presenter on a show is a blond-haired, blue-eyed heterosexual boy, the other must be a black Muslim lesbian."

Jeremy's latest rant comes days after the Beeb received complaints about an episode of Have I Got News For You, during which guest presenter Miranda Hart described the Queen and her husband as "that Greek twit and his Kraut wife".

A BBC spokesman said: "Have I Got News For You is a topical, satirical news quiz and as such tackles issues of the week in a comedic and challenging way.

"The joke Miranda delivered was about abusive racist language following on from the news story that Prince Philip had made what were considered offensive remarks at a meeting of Indian representatives."
